Safeguard Engineering were delighted to attend the Lord Lieutenants ceremony held in Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium last week, to receive our Defence Silver Employer Recognition Scheme Award.

The award, presented by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Peaches Golding OBE CStJ, celebrates employers who support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.

Safeguard Engineering are proud to support the Armed Forces community; approximately 40% of our employees are ex-service personnel and active reservists. We recognise and appreciate the strong work ethic and multiple transferable skills that they bring to their roles, and actively work alongside the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to recruit personnel who are moving from their military career into civilian employment.

If you’re looking to progress your career after leaving the Armed Forces, take a look at the roles we’re currently recruiting for, or contact us at careers@safeguardengineering.co.uk.
