Safeguard Engineering is the official provider of Maritime Overseer Support (MOS) for Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) Boats and Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA).
Our expert team is led by a former Royal Navy Marine Engineering Officer with over 30 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering output. He is supported by a knowledgeable team with skills that span all disciplines of maritime engineering.

The DE&S Mission is to equip and support the UK’s Armed Forces for operations now and into the future.
For their part, the Boats and RFA Teams are responsible for providing capable and reliable vessels to the Naval Service to meet operational commitments worldwide. This ongoing mission is conducted with challenging financial budgets and an ever-changing geo-political situation.
One specific area within this broad remit is to provide Maritime Overseer Support for managing In-Service and new Acquisition programmes for Static Training Vessels and the Small Boats Flotilla, as well as for managing In-Service and Upkeep requirements for RFA vessels maintained in the Northwest of the United Kingdom.
