The Challenge
Drawing from our extensive experience in ship programmes and undertaking Independent Audit roles, we recognised that this project presented several unique challenges. These included the need to address all organisations from the commercial build alliance, MOD corporate governance, through to the MOD in-service construct, including Operating Duty Holder, Platform Authority and all applicable sub-contractors;
The project demanded a diverse range of specialist technical disciplines and knowledge encompassing ship operations, naval architecture, training, marine engineering, aviation, air traffic management and combat systems. Additionally, the project faced challenging timescales, particularly around critical milestones such as permission for sea trials, vessel acceptance and entry into service.
Our Solution
To meet the client’s challenges, we provided the client with a dedicated client-facing team leader and deputy to coordinate all ISEA activities, supported by highly experienced and certified auditors who held ISO, ISM or IEMA qualifications.
Our auditors had the in-depth and relevant technical experience to cover the diverse range of disciplines required, eliminating the need to source additional expertise. They also had a proven track record of effectively communicating with a broad range of stakeholders, from 3-star officers through to individual desk officers and ship staff.
Our team was responsive and flexible, capable of meeting demanding timescales to support key decisions and ensuring consistent availability, even during periods of annual leave.
