Dust off your bikes, make a note in your calendar and join us for the Safeguard Engineering “End of Summer” Social on Friday 16th September. This has been an incredibly long, hot summer to be sat inside working. So, we will be celebrating the return to some cooler weather with a social cycle along the Bristol & Bath Railway Path – fingers crossed it doesn’t rain! The starting point will be The Locksbrook Inn in Bath and then we will follow the 13 mile off-road route back to Bristol and our offices where refreshments will be waiting.  We’re asking everyone who joins us to make a donation of £15 or more to our chosen charity, Tom Harrison House and Safeguard will match fund all donations.

Our goal is to raise £1,000 for Tom Harrison House.  This great charity supports veterans and emergency service personnel across the UK, helping them to move out of addiction and into recovery. If we can hit our target of £1,000 that money could fund 14 Family Sessions, helping individuals and their families through the Tom Harrison House programme. You can make your donations on the Just Giving page we’ve created – just click on the link below.

About Tom Harrison House

Tom Harrison House provides a specialist addiction recovery programme for UK Armed Forces veterans and emergency services personnel.

Our bespoke 12-week residential programme is designed specifically for those who have served and who may struggle to engage with mainstream, civilian rehabilitation services.

The programme is grounded in a supportive community of people with shared experiences and includes a range of therapeutic groups and activities to help restore our clients’ physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Our individualised, trauma-informed approach addresses the unique needs of ex-service personnel and is the first of its kind in the UK.
