In 2021 Safeguard Engineering supported Falmouth United Football Club by sponsoring the winter training kit for their Under 7s squad. And this year they are stepping up to the mark again to provide the sponsorship needed for the Club to buy new match kit for the Under 9s team. This was an easy decision for the company which enjoys strong links with Falmouth after opening an office there in 2016, with many of the team providing ongoing Safety Engineering Consultancy to A&P.
Falmouth United Club Chairman Secures a New Sponsorship
Chris Wood, Safeguard Helidecks Operations Manager, is Chairman of the Club and a Lead Coach for the Under 9s. He approached the Directors in January with a Match Kit sponsorship opportunity for the Under 9s team and once again he was successful. The Club’s purpose is to provide a safe and happy environment for children in the Falmouth/Penryn and surrounding areas to learn how to play football. The Under 9s team compete in the Kernow League and play some great football for their age. They are all very excited to be starting their new season with brand new kit.
Commenting on the sponsorship Chris Wood said:
“Falmouth United is one of the largest youth clubs in Cornwall. We provide a safe platform for 250 players to come and enjoy playing football with their friends. However, without support from local companies, the financial strain on our players’ parents would be unmanageable as the club’s running costs soar with inflation. As a club we are so grateful to Safeguard Engineering for giving support to the youth of Falmouth. Who knows, in years to come some of these young players may be future employees! I honestly cannot thank Safeguard Engineering enough.”
