The Safeguard team (see below for most of the team!) are proud to be fundraising again in support of Blesma and their Remembrance 11k Challenge. So far we have a team of 11 runners from our Bristol office who will be running 11k around Bristol Harbourside on Thursday 11th November. A member of our Falmouth office will be rowing 11,011m for 11 days on his rowing machine. And two very adventurous members of staff from the Portsmouth office will be donning wetsuits and life jackets to kayak 11k around Portsmouth and Southsea on Monday 8th November! Others are taking on cycling and walking challenges and all are raising money to support Blesma.

Safeguard chose to fundraise for Blesma because of the fantastic work they do providing support to limbless and injured veterans for life. The company will match fund all money raised by the team up to £50 per person, so we hope to add another £1,000 to our Blesma total.

Blesma

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans, is a charity dedicated to assisting serving and ex-Service men and women who have suffered life-changing limb loss or the use of a limb, an eye or loss of sight in the honourable service of our country. The Remembrance 11K, is an event which commemorates the significant day of Remembrance while raising vital funds for members. Just as it did last year, this event will bring together the Blesma community across the nation, creating a unique and interconnected group of participants in their own local parks and neighbourhoods across all regions, uniting everyone connected to Blesma on this very important day.
