Safeguard Engineering welcomes Tom Costin

Safeguard Engineering is delighted to welcome Tom Costin to the team.

Tom is a highly capable Safety Engineer with extensive experience within aviation; both maintenance and production. His background spans both defence and civil aviation, working across multiple product types for national and international customers.

Most recently Tom has worked at Leonardo Helicopters UK, where he was embedded within the safety office focussing on potential aviation safety risks and collaborating with stakeholders, senior leaders, engineering managers, and subject matter experts to develop effective solutions. With a foundation of technical work, rising to Aircraft Maintenance Certifying Engineer gaining leadership experience in multi-disciplinary teams, Tom brings strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills to every project.

Outside of work, Tom is passionate about hiking, kayaking, and motorcycles—both on and off-road. He also has two energetic beagles who keep him on his toes.
