We are pleased to be doing our bit to give support to engineering graduates and have recently added two excellent graduate trainees to the Safeguard team.
James Dempster joins us having graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a 1st Class BEng in Aerospace Engineering, and an MSc in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Leeds, where he graduated this summer. James’s studies included various Human Factors and safety orientated modules, with a particular focus on aviation safety. This included risk management both in initial design and during in operational conditions, hangar safety procedures, analysing past safety cases and safety reports. In his spare time James has a keen interest in motorsport aerodynamics, fixing / modifying cars, and modifying and building electric guitars.
Shaun Rouse joins us having graduated this summer from University of the West of England (UWE) after achieving Merit in his Master of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, and a 2:1 in his Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering. During his time at UWE he studied modules such as Computational Methods, Stress Analysis and Structural Integrity of Design. Shaun also captained the Universities’ 1st hockey team.
Commenting on their appointment Director Steve Beech said:
“Both graduates are a welcome addition to the team and we’re looking forward to involving them in some key projects once their induction process has been completed. We had a lot of quality applications for these two posts but James and Shaun were a good fit for our business and our team.”
